INGREDIENTS FOR AVARAKKAI PORIYAL
Oil-2tsp
mustard seed-1/2tsp
urad dal-1/2tsp
asafoetida-1tsp
small onion-10
chilli powder-1tsp
turmaeric powder-1/2tsp
moong dal-10g
coconut-2tsp
salt as need
broad beans-1/4 kg
METHOD
1.In a pan ,put the oil and when it is hot add mustard ,urad asafoetida let its splutter add chopped small onion,fry for few mintues.
2.Now ,add the broad beans ,moong dal,enough salt fry for 5 mintues.
3.Then add the water [1cup],chilli pow,turmeric pow,and let it get cooked .
4.Once the moisture absorbed and then add grated coconut and stir well.
5.Now broad beans poriyal is ready and serve with hot rice,sambar ,rasam.
