INGREDIENTS FOR PUMPKIN PORIYAL
Oil-2tsp
Mustard seed-1/2tsp
urad dal-1/2tsp
Red chilli-1
Coconut -2tsp
Curry leaves
Coriander leaves
Salt as need
Asafoetida-1tsp
turmeric powder-1/4tsp
FOR PREPARATION
1. Cut the pumpkin into cubes.
METHOD
1.In a bowl,boil one and half  cups of water,add pumpkin cubes,add turmeric powder and enough salt.
2.Cook for 10-15 mintues[upto pumpkin mashed],keep aside.
3.In a pan ,put the oil and when it is hot add mustard ,urad ,asafoetida let its splutter add curry leaves,red chilli fry for few minutes,add the boiled pumpkin let it get cooked for two min,then sprinkle granted coconut.switch off stove.
4.Now parangikkai poriyal is ready to serve with hot rice,sambar,rasam.
