Chilli powder-1/2tsp
Turmeric powder1/4tsp

METHOD
1.Slice the asparagus into round shape .
2.Take a kadai,put the oil and when it is hot , add mustard seed,urad dal,asafoetida let its splutter add curry leaves, green chilli,fry for few seconds.
3.Then add the onion ,enough salt,chilli powder,turmeric powder, add asparagus and let it get cooked for two minutes.
4.Now add little water and cook until the vegetable are cooked.
5.Now add cooked toor dal and sprinkle grated coconut.switch off flame.
6.Now asparagus poriyal is ready to serve with rasam,sambar.
