RAGI ONION PAKODA OR FINGER MILLET ONION PAKODA
Ragi also known as finger millet .It is one of the important cereals in india.Finger millet is normally consumed in the form of flour based foods such as roti,kanji,kali.Ragi can be used to make upma,cakes,and biscuits.Ragi flour is used to make various indian preparations like dosa,idlis and ladoos.It is a known as ragi in telugu and kannada,kelvaragu /aariyam in tamil and madua /mangal in hindi
INGREDIENTS
Oil for frying
Onion-2
Green chilli-2
Ginger-little bit
Curry leaves
Coriander leaves
Chilli powder-1tsp
Turmeric powder-1/4tsp
Ragi flour or finger millet flour-1/2cup
Rice flour-6tsp
Gram flour-6tsp
Asafoetida-1/2tsp
Salt
Onion-2
Green chilli-2
Ginger-little bit
Curry leaves
Coriander leaves
Chilli powder-1tsp
Turmeric powder-1/4tsp
Ragi flour or finger millet flour-1/2cup
Rice flour-6tsp
Gram flour-6tsp
Asafoetida-1/2tsp
Salt
METHOD
1.Slice onion length wise.
2.Take a mixing bowl,add the onion,chilli powder , turmeric powder and mix well.
3.Now add the green chillis,ginger,ragi flour,rice flour,gram flour ,chopped curry leaves, coriander leaves,asafoetida,enough salt , add the hot oil[4 tsp] and mix well.
4.Then sprinkle little water and make it stick.
5.Heat oil in a pan .
6. In medium flame drop of ragi mixture and fry till crispy.
7.Now ragi onion pakoda is ready to serve with hot tea.
